Conceived out of wedlock, Flying Ball Of Aluminum was born in January, 2004. Bob Helsten, Tony Rogers, and Fran Blackwood came together with the idea of doing something new. Though it wasn't until February, with the addition of Bart Rennells, that the band found legitimacy in their ideas. The idea; let's try and do things differently, and stuff that other bands just aren't.

At first glance, it is obvious that this is exactly what F.B.A. are doing. Check out the posters. When was the last time a band put this much thought and effort into presentation? When was the last time YOU laughed out loud at a band flyer? Check out the setlist. When was the last time a band could be heard doing songs by Rush or Primus? Check out the live show. Never mind the monkeys jumping around on it, when was the last time you've seen a stage littered with T.V. sets and giant balls of aluminum?
